An Entrepreneur’s Journal

24 August 2008 No Comment

Have you ever wondered what an entrepreneur’s typical day looks like? Have you ever thought about what it takes on a day to day basis to keep a start-up going? I want to give you unprecedented access into my journey as an entrepreneur and a small business owner in the City of Houston. I have been in business for three years now in the technology industry and every day is an adventure! I seem to work even longer hours than I did when I was in corporate America for less pay at times.

I must admit however this is the most rewarding work I’ve ever done in my life. I enjoy the challenges of chasing my dreams while building this business. It requires a lot of sacrifice and a lot of hard work to make it work. When you are in the driver’s seat, you must know where you are going or the journey is pointless. I want to encourage other entrepreneurs to keep going, inspire individuals that are contemplating starting a business to do it, and provide a realistic perspective on what it takes to make it as a small business owner.

I refuse to sensationalize this journey. There are real obstacles, real triumphs and real opportunities.   I will continually talk about, openly and honestly, what I am going through and hopefully our readers will begin to share their stories as well!
