The House ends plans for luxury jets

By Liberate Staff

gulfstreamDuring a time when one in 10 Americans are without work and unemployment funds are dwindling, our elected officials had decided first class was not good enough. On August 5th, the U.S. House of Representatives approved millions for luxury jets to transport them to meetings, etc.

The planes were initially requested by the Pentagon and Congress doubled the order. They had requested more of the Gulstream Luxury jets for “official” business. The public was rightfully outraged when the word spread. Today, that outrage produced positive results, Congress suddenly realized the error of their ways and ended their request to double the original order of planes. I wonder why? Maybe someone sitting at home wondering how to pay the mortgage appealed to their senses or maybe they just realized the request was ridiculous.
