I started this blog, Liberate Magazine, in 2007.  I had just begun my journey into entrepreneurship and I had a lot of friends who were on the same pathway.  No one was  highlighting the lives of these type of entrepreneurs though, so I decided to do it myself.  I found it fascinating that so many 20 and 30 somethings were taking a risk to build a business and I still do.  This blog initially was only meant to “tell their stories” and present to others the vast opportunities available in life to create independent living through entrepreneurship.

Over the years, it has become much more than that. In my journey as an entrepreneur, I’ve learned that technology allows smaller companies to seem larger and compete globally. I’ve also learned the most valuable businesses are those with a passion and focus on something big that is going to help others in a big way.  With this in mind, Liberate has become about more than just the entrepreneurs in their first five years of business, it also is about the technology that drives them and the passions behind their work.  It is liberating in life to do something that is purposeful, fun and makes an impact on the lives of others.
