Entrepreneurship has always been and is currently the backbone of American society. Every store, coffee house, fortune 500 company, business and invention was built based on the idea of one individual or a group of individuals. It is idealistic in a lot of ways to make the assumption that everyone can be an entrepreneur however. Entrepreneurship requires patience, determination, and an inherent unwillingness to quit and “throw in the towel” when faced with obstacles. It requires faith; a belief in what you are doing, why you are doing it, and who you are doing it for.
There are certain things I think about when I meet other entrepreneurs. What drives them? What experiences influenced their decision to start a business? What formal education and/or training did they need to be successful? How did they get started? How did they determine what product and or service to sell? What lessons have they learned from their first years in business? Who were the primary influences in their lives? What has been their biggest success? What has been their biggest disappointment? What advice would they give to other entrepreneurs?
This magazine is used as a forum to answer these questions. We ask every entrepreneur we interview the same set of questions. The liberate10™ (our standard set of questions) hopefully provides our readers with a clear consistent perspective on entrepreneurship and what it takes for an individual to be successful in their journey to “liberation.”
This is a magazine for people, about people. This is a magazine of discovery…discovering opportunities through the lens of the lives of others. I started this magazine for entrepreneurs, for dreamers, for visionaries…for you! Edgar Allen Poe once said,
“Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things that escape those who dream only at night.”
When do you dream? I hope that you find our magazine informative, educational, interesting and inspiring!
