I had the opportunity this year to travel to Baltimore to attend the Convio Summit for Mobile Loaves & Fishes. Convio is a tech company based in Austin that provides SaaS (software as a service) data management and fundraising solutions to non profits. The purpose of the summit was to provide existing clients with an opportunity to meet and dialogue with other non profits, get advanced technical support and meet the various business partners of the company. They also invited potential clients to the summit to engage with company representatives and demo products.

I had some interesting conversations with other non profits and techies alike. The city of Baltimore, because of its location to several metropolitan east coast cities, is flourishing in the downtown area. There are several hotels, residences and unique small businesses in the Fell’s Point and Inner Harbor areas. There is also great food.
