Have you ever wondered what an entrepreneur’s typical day looks like? Have you ever thought about what it takes on a day to day basis to keep a start-up going? I want to give you unprecedented access into my journey as an entrepreneur and a small business owner in the City of Houston.

I was introduced to Lake Travis in the Hill Country. On our itinerary we were scheduled to have dinner at this restaurant called The Oasis, “Sunset Capital of the World.” I had no real expectations because the lake I saw in college was beautiful, but small.

Many businesses fail in the first year because of a lack of planning. This can be avoided however with the proper tools. It is important for all entrepreneurs to outline all of their business goals for the first five years in writing.

Why not purchase a home in your business name? There are many housing options in urban areas now that have an office downstairs and an apartment upstairs.

There is a saying that everything grows big in Texas. This phrase is starting to include small businesses. Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas are all within driving distance of each other and collectively represent the ideal opportunity for entrepreneurs.
